Kilimanjaro 1 Day Tour

Day 1: Walk to Mandara Huts

Your guide will meet you at your hotel or agreed place in Arusha/Moshi for briefing. You are then transferred to the Marangu gate, the drive will take about 1.5hrs. At the gate you will have to register with the rangers. Once the formalities are finished, you will then start your slow walk through the marvelous tropical forest. The walk will take about 3 hours to Mandara Huts, you walk at a slow pace so you can enjoy the nature that surrounds you.

Once at Mandara huts (2,750 meters) you will rest and enjoy your packed lunch. You can also wonder around the camp area and take photos if you wish to. After lunch your guide will take you on a short walk to Maundi Crater before you start your descend back down to Marangu gate.

This day trip is an excellent way to see a different environment away from the city and national parks and a great way to stretch your legs. Families with children can also join this tour.
